Body Composition: This machine will test your body composition which includes a resting metabolic rate,(how many calories you burn at rest), calorie requirement, (calories you burn during the day at your specific activity level), Body Mass Index (BMI), lean body mass (LBM), and how many pounds you will need to lose to achieve your goal percent body fat. Your results are printed and given to you.
RMR: (Resting Metabolic Rate) – this caculates how many calories you need to consume to lose 1 pound/week and how many calories you need to consume to lose 2 pounds per week of body fat. This document will also be printed and provided to you. Both the Body Comp and RMR help in weight reduction goals to make sure weight loss is pure body fat and not muscle. Lean body mass test is important to know because every person has a different amount of muscle tissue. Based on your pounds of muscle, I will calculate how many grams of protein you need to eat per day to avoid losing muscle. This is important because if you lose muscle mass, you will slow the metabolism and it will be more difficult to lose more weight.
